The SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) sales data for Bajaj Auto for  January 2024 is out, and here's how many Platina 110 were sold.

The Bajaj Platina 110 stands alone as the sole 110cc bike in India equipped with ABS. This premium commuter motorcycle gets a range of features, including gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers, a plush cushioned seat, and generously wide footrests, all designed to elevate comfort levels. These attributes collectively position it as an attractive option for riders in search of a secure, comfortable, and fuel-efficient commuting motorcycle.

Price:

The Bajaj Platina 110 is available in two variants: one equipped with drum brakes and another with a front disc brake, complete with a single-channel ABS system. The drum brake version provides buyers with a selection of three colour options (Ebony Black Blue, Ebony Black Red, and Cocktail Wine Red-Orange) and is competitively priced at Rs 70,400. On the other hand, the disc brake variant is available in three colours (Cocktail Wine Red, Sapphire Blue, and Ebony Black) and is offered at a slightly higher price point of Rs 79,821 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

Features:

The Bajaj Platina 110 comes equipped with several notable features, such as a generously sized and comfortable seat, flat pillion footrests, hand guards, a gas-charged spring-in-spring rear suspension, tubeless tires, and an integrated LED Daytime Running Light (DRL). What sets the disc brake variant apart are its unique additions: a semi-digital instrument cluster that not only displays the ABS status but also includes a gear-position indicator with shift prompts, making it stand out from the drum brake version.

Engine:

The Platina 110 is powered by a 115.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled DTS-i engine producing 8.6PS of power and 9.81Nm of torque, and comes mated with a five-speed gearbox. It's worth mentioning that the disc brake variant features a 10.5-liter fuel tank, while the drum brake variant comes with an 11-litre tank for added fuel capacity.

Suspension & Brakes:

The Bajaj Platina 110 is built on a tubular single-cradle chassis and utilises a telescopic fork in the front and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers for suspension. Its braking options include a 240mm disc or a 130mm drum at the front, accompanied by a 110mm drum at the rear. The disc brake variant comes equipped with a standard single-channel ABS, while the drum brake variant features the standard Combined Braking System (CBS). Both models offer a substantial 200mm ground clearance, with the disc brake variant weighing in at 123kg and the drum brake variant at 119kg (both kerb). It has a seat height of 807mm.
