India’s major two wheeler manufacturing company Hero has re-launched its one of the most selling brand Hero Hunk in the Indian market with enhanced features. The new bike will come with same engine of 150 cc displacement as earlier. The major changes the company has made are in appearance and look of the new Hero Hunk.
Earlier, Hero has introduced Hero Hunk in the two-wheeler market, in 2007, to take on best selling bike in 150cc bike segment, Bajaj Pulsar 150cc. Hero already have three bikes in the same category but the new Hero Hunk is more aggressive and beefier in looks with some latest features, the bike features great design job and color scheme as well.
New Hero Hunk is powered by a 149.2cc of powertrain which comes with 4 stroke, air cooled, single cylinder, OHC configuration, it develops a top power value of 14.4 PS at 8,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 12.80 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The Hero Hunk incorporates a five speed constant mesh manual gearbox along with multi plate wet clutch. It also comes in both self and kick start facility. The new Hero Hunk is additionally packed with BS-III emission norms complaint.
The new Hero Hunk hosts a number of latest features such as front disc brake, optional rear disc brakes, rear gas reservoir shock absorber, digital speedometer, five spoke die cast alloy wheels, multi-reflector halogen lamp and wider wheelbase.
The Hero Hunk has most aggressive stance among 150cc bikes in India, bolder fuel tank and its shoulders, stylish front mask and golden color front fork tube give it a sporty image. Design
The length, width and height of the Hero Hunk is 2080 mm, 765 mm and 1095 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the Hero Hunk is 1325 mm with a ground clearance of 145 mm. The kerb weight of the bike is 143 kg (Kick) and 146 kg (Self) and the saddle height is 795 mm. The fuel tank is of 12.4 liters with a reserve of 2.2 litres.

The alloy wheels present in the Hero Hunk give a very sporty and aggressive look to the bike. The rim size of the front wheel is 18x1.85; and that of rear wheel is 18x2.15. The broad wheels look very robust and carry a very dynamic look with it. The specification of the front tyre is 2.75 x 18 – 42 P and that of the rear tyre is 100/90 mm x 18 -56 P. The all new and refreshed version of the new Hero Hunk is now available with tubeless tyres at both the front and rear wheel which is very comfortable on roads and offers hassle free and puncture resistance tyre. The big and huge tyres of the Hero Hunk controls the bike in the event of off roading and also minimizes the risk of skidding in slippery surface.
The all new refreshed version of Hero Hunk is very impressive and offers very distinct and extraordinary looks. One of the best performers in 150cc+ bike segment, Hero Hunk deserves special mention when design and cosmetic job are talked about. The bike appears as if it is going to pounce on its prey as a wild bull. This, wild bull, is well reflected in the design of the machine. The Hero Hunk is also having a sticker of wild bull at the tank shrouds, the manufacturer calls it shoulders.
'Hunk' stands for well-built man, and it is evident after seeing the appearance of Hero Hunk. The well-built body of the bike has aerodynamic style from front view to rear cowl. Let's start from the front side view includes mask, headlamp and turn indicators. The Hero Hunk boasts of multi-reflector halogen type headlamp in trapezoid shape that also looks like a butterfly as well. The all new refreshed Hero Hunk now gets a more contoured black transparent visor. The re-design of the side panels of the new Hero Hunk looks very stylish and impressive and the gray colored side panels look very great. The “GRS: sticker which was initially there is now replaced with “ATFT” logo. The new Hero Hunk now also has beefy front mudguard which looks very elegant.
The all new Hero Hunk hosts body color rear view mirrors which offers very sportier look to the bike. The rear grab rail of the new Hero Hunk is now available in darker shade which adds charm to the overall theme of the new bike. Right behind the front mask, The new refreshed version of Hero Hunk has semi digital dashboard which consists of orange colored digital speedometer, fuel status, neutral sign, turn indicator signals, etc.
Fuel tank of the Hero Hunk comes in bolder shape along with attached tank shrouds which has wild bull sticker. The seat of the bike is steeped up type which provides separate seating cabin for both rider and pillion. The rear section of the new Hero Hunk is also impressive with sharp tail cowl and LED lamps that offers very cool dotted look. The all new Hero Hunk has very elegant stainless steel muffler cover i.e ridged exhaust cover that offers very attractive look to the overall look of the bike.
