And these updated graphics look stunning

Yamaha R15 New Colours Launched

Yamaha has launched the 2024 editions of the Yamaha R15M and Yamaha R15 MotoGP Edition in Taiwan, with a few design changes. While the Taiwan-spec R15M features a new paint finish,  the Yamaha R15 MotoGP edition sees some changes to its badging.

R15 new colours launched

Coming to the R15M, the 2024 edition features a new paint scheme which combines the same silver and black colours that we have seen in India but comes with a few changes. At the front, the headlight section is now fully blacked-out. The fairing gets a similar change, with the top half being blacked out. The Yamaha R15 livery is written in a blue background with black lettering. The bottom half retains the silver colour with Yamaha branding in black. Other than this, the tail section now comes in black.

Yamaha R15 MotoGP Monster Edition

The R15 MotoGP edition, on the other hand, comes with the same graphics on the fairings as the model sold in India. The only visible difference being the Yamaha badging on the tank is a golden one.

Both the colour variants in Taiwan are priced at an ex-showroom price of 1,69,000 yuan, which is equivalent to Rs 4,35,877. Meanwhile, the R15M Metallic Grey costs Rs 1,96,500 in India, and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition is available at Rs 1,97,700 (both prices ex-showroom).

The new graphics on the R15M look quite good and give the bike a more subtle look, while the golden Yamaha badging on the R15 MotoGP edition gives the bike a premium feel. Other than these cosmetic changes there aren’t any changes made to the bike’s performance. The Yamaha R15M and MotoGP editions still come with the same 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 18.4PS and 14.2Nm.

In terms of features, Yamaha offers a quickshifter and a traction control system as well. The R15M doesn’t have any direct rivals, though other more powerful alternatives include the KTM RC 200, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, Hero Karizma XMR and Suzuki Gixxer SF.
