The company has temporarily stopped accepting new bookings as it gears up to launch this e-bike

[UPDATE: Hop has launched the Oxo in India. Full details in our launch story]

Hop Electric has revealed that it has received over 5,000 bookings for its upcoming electric bike, the Oxo 100. As a result, the company has temporarily stopped accepting new bookings as it gears up to launch this e-bike.

Hop Electric had earlier confirmed that the Oxo 100 would be launched towards the end of July or early August. This was announced after the Oxo 100 received ARAI certification post completing 75,000km of road testing across 20 cities including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Patna and Kolkata.

The Oxo 100 resembles the Yamaha FZ V2.0 with a sporty design and edgy body styling. The placement of the battery pack is right where an IC engine would be; and to say the least, the overall finish demands more attention. It features an integrated LED strip on the sides of the ‘fuel tank’.

While technical details of this bike have not been revealed yet, Hop Electric claims that the Oxo 100 is capable of delivering a range of 100-150km on a single charge with a top speed of 100kmph. More details about this bike are mentioned here.

The company has also said that this bike would be sold through 140 touch points across the country, and it has already opened over 60 dealerships over the past six months. Also, based on the response received for the Oxo 100, Hop Electric expects to sell over 50,000 units over the next 12 months.

The Hop Oxo 100 could be priced around Rs 1.20 lakh and would rival the likes of Revolt RV400, Tork Kratos, and the Oben Rorr.
