Hero do have a number of choices in entry-level bike segment, it depends on you now which bike do you want, whether a stylish bike with improved featues or a commuter bike as a mean of conveyance. The most sought after 100cc bikes are Hero Splendor and Hero Passion, both models come with same engine with a slight difference of style and features. Hero Passion comes in two models, viz. Hero Passion Pro and Hero Passion Plus. Both the models come in two variants each that are spoke and cast wheels. The Hero Passion Pro is also available with optional disc brakes.

Hero Passion is powered by a 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, OHC engine with a displacement of 97.2cc. The engine of Hero Passion Pro produces a top power of 7.8 PS at 7,500 rpm and churns out a peak torque of 8.04 Nm at 4500 rpm while Hero Passion Plus' mill generates top power of 7.5 PS at 8,000 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 7.95 Nm at 5,000 rpm. The model comes in self and kick start options with spoke and cast wheels. It uses 4 speed constant mesh gearbox that follows all down pattern.

Hero Passion has been equipped with standard brakes and suspension system. The Passion Pro comes with optional front disc brake of dia 240mm whereas both the models sports internal expanding shoe type 130mm brakes at both ends. Added to this, Hero Passion Plus boasts of rear adjustable shock absorber while front one is telescopic type fork. Passion Pro features front telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and rear swing arm with hydraulic fork.

Hero Passion has got sizzling graphics and appealing shades. The headlamp is clear and has board cowl over it. Both the model of Hero Passion get different instrument panel design. Fuel tank of the bike is awesome that has mindbowing graphics which attracts onlookers. Hero Passion Pro has digital fuel gauge while the Passion Plus has full analogue console which houses two big pods. The Hero Passion Plus has body colour rear grab rail.

The overall length of the new Hero Passion is 1980 mm and the width and height of the Hero Passion Plus is 720 mm, 1060 mm respectively and that of the Hero Passion pro is 725 mm and 1075 mm respectively. The wheelbase of the Hero Passion is 1235 mm with a ground clearance of Hero Passion Plus is 159 mm and Hero Passion Pro is 165 mm. The kerb weight of the bike is 116 kg and Hero Passion Pro is 116 kg (Kick) and 119 kg (Self). The fuel tank is of 12.8 liters with a reserve of 1.1 litres.

The strong Hero Passion Pro is incorporated with cast wheels with spoke which looks very sporty and the new and stylish Hero Passion Plus is equipped with broad alloy wheels which give a very sporty and aggressive look to the bike. The size of the front wheel present in the Hero Passion is 18 x1.60 and the same size is also of the rear wheel. The broad wheels look very robust and carry a very dynamic look with it. The specification of the front tyre is 2.75 x18 – 42 P 4PR and that of the rear tyre is 3.00 x 18 - 48 P 6PR. The size of wheels and tyres for both the variants are same.
