The 2017 Hero Glamour made its first appearance in Argentina earlier this year and Hero has now launched it in its home market
The Glamour from Hero MotoCorp is one of the best-selling products in the 125cc segment ever since it was launched. The company has recently updated the motorcycle with cosmetic and mechanical changes for the 2017 model. Hero developed the motorcycle at their Centre for Innovation and Technology in Jaipur. The new Glamour targets to raise Hero’s mark in the 125cc market in terms of style, technology and appeal. It looks much more aggressive compared to the previous model while maintaining the commuter aspects.
The motorcycle gets five-spoke split alloys for both the wheels, new graphics that stretch across the entire bike, which give the bike a fresh look, and chunky side and tail panels to add visual muscularity. The bike gets an analog-digital speedometer console with a service and malfunction indicator along with the other standard features like odometer, tripmeter, tachometer, speed indicator and fuel indicator. It gets black handlebars which give it a more premium feel and comes with disc brakes at the front and a drum unit at the rear.
The new BS-IV-compliant Torque On Demand (TOD) engine will be offered in carbureted and fuel injected options similar to the earlier model. The 125cc motor produces 11.5PS of maximum power, which as claimed by Hero makes 27 per cent more power than the older motor, and develops a peak torque of 11Nm @ 6500rpm. The motorcycle is equipped with i3S system and the claimed fuel economy is 62kmpl. The bike is priced at Rs 70,280 and takes on the likes of the Honda CB Shine SP and Bajaj V12.
