Hero Xoom 125R And Hero Xoom 160 Launch Timeline Revealed
Also, the Hero Xoom 110 will receive new colour options this year
The Hero Xoom 125R and the Hero Xoom 160 were unveiled at EICMA 2023. And now, in a recent earnings call, the manufacturer has revealed the launch timeline of the two scooters.
In the earnings call, Hero MotoCorp revealed that the Xoom 125R and the Xoom 160 will hit the roads by the end of FY2025. Also, the manufacturer spoke in length about increasing its market in the 125cc segment. So we think that the Hero Xoom 125R could be launched by the end of 2024 and the Xoom 160 maxi-scooter could be launched in early 2025. The 125cc sporty scooter segment is highly competitive and the TVS Ntorq 125 has been performing very well for TVS ever since its entry into the market. Hero MotoCorp doesn’t have a sporty 125cc scooter offering currently, and the launch of the Xoom 125R will help in expanding its presence in the 125cc segment. On the other hand, the Xoom 160 will still be a niche product, and will appeal to scooter enthusiasts who want a premium looking, maxiscooter.
Hero MotoCorp’s focus on the 125cc segment is also reflected in the recent launch of the Hero Xtreme 125R. The manufacturer is working on increasing its production capacity to 2,000 units per day. Also, the Hero Xoom 110 will receive new colour options, probably during the festive months of October or November 2024.

The other area of focus for the manufacturer, in terms of increasing its market share, is its premium offerings: Harley-Davidson X440, Hero Mavrick 440 and the Hero Karizma XMR. Hero MotoCorp revealed in the same earnings call that it will increase the production capacity of these three bikes to 10,000 units in the next few months. With the planned increase in production of the 440cc bikes, Hero will stand a greater chance in grabbing the market share which is primarily dominated by Royal Enfield bikes.
