India Yamaha Motor opens new dealership in Mumbai: Adds another feat to its dealer expansion drive

With the aim of strengthening its foothold in the key market of Mumbai, India Yamaha Motor today launched two new showrooms – Kamla Yamaha and Dolphin Yamaha in the city. The showrooms were inaugurated by the company’s CEO and MD, Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, Director – Sales & Marketing, Mr. Jun Nakata, National Business Head - Mr. Roy Kurian. Fully equipped with 3S set up (Sales, Service, Spare Parts), Kamala Yamaha and Dolphin Yamaha aims to offer the best quality service to customers all under one roof. Kamala Yamaha and Dolphin Yamaha are designed to provide a complete gamut of Yamaha’s offerings and exhibits an entire range of bikes from Yamaha including the YZF-R15 version 2.0 (150cc), FZ series (153cc) and SZ series (153cc) for the bike lovers of the city.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO and MD, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. said, “Maharashtra is a very crucial market for us and we are committed to offering the best of the products from our portfolio to customers here. In the deluxe segment, which is our mainstay category, Yamaha has 18% market share in Maharashtra, up from 16% last year. The opening of these new dealerships in Mumbai is in line with our focus to strengthen our foothold in key growth markets. These dealerships will definitely help us in reaching out to more and more potential customers in the state as well as the entire region. The showrooms are fully-equipped with 3S – Sales, Service & Spare Parts set-up and these dealerships will strive to achieve a high satisfaction level of our esteemed customers.”
With these new showrooms, India Yamaha Motor aims to enhance the biking culture amongst the youth of Maharashtra and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction by offering one-stop biking solution to meet all the needs of its esteemed customers. Recently the company signed up Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone as the face of Yamaha Scooters in India while John Abraham will continue to endorse Yamaha’s motorcycle range in India.
The company will continue with the YES! YAMAHA campaign which was introduced a couple of years ago. As part of the YES! YAMAHA campaign, many initiatives have been launched including ‘Bring back the Joy’ campaign, ‘Chabi Ghumao, Bike Le Jao’ contest (Turn the key, win a bike contest) to name a few.
