The Congress leader’s choice to visit Leh and Ladakh is a fast and sporty adventure tourer
Politicians love to travel around in the comfort of their all-white, four-wheeled cavalcades. But this time around, pictures of Rahul Gandhi have surfaced online, revealing that the Indian National Congress (INC) leader has ditched his fancy four-wheelers for the KTM 390 Adventure while embarking on a trip to Leh and Ladakh, the ‘holy pilgrimage’ for most Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. This is a part of his Bharat Jodo Yatra. His journey begins from Leh and ends at the Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh
What we’re happy about, is that Rahul Gandhi hasn’t skimped on riding gear either. He’s seen wearing a Shoei helmet, Leatt goggles and pants, Forma boots, Fox off-road gloves and is wearing body armour inside his vest. We’ve often seen celebrities ride their two-wheelers in loosely-strapped helmets (if any) and not much else, so seeing Gandhi fully kitted up is a relief. Interestingly, there’s also a GoPro strapped to the 390 Adventure with a mic setup along with a Sena intercom communication device on his helmet. Rahul Gandhi vlogs then? Maybe….

The Upcoming 390 Duke Looks Even More Menacing In Its Natural Orange!
Rahul Gandhi had tweeted about this earlier and as is the case usually, a lot of people had a lot to say on this. Cabinet Minister of Earth Sciences Kiren Rijiju, for example, tweeted:
Thanks to Rahul Gandhi for promoting excellent roads of Ladakh built by the @narendramodi govt. Earlier, he also showcased how Tourism is booming in Kashmir Valley & reminded all that our "National Flag" can be peacefully hoisted at Lal Chowk in Srinagar now! pic.twitter.com/vta6HEUnXM

That said, this isn’t the first time Rahul Gandhi has been seen around motorcycles. He was spotted riding a Royal Enfield Classic 500 Desert Storm last year and earlier last month he also revealed that he owns a KTM 390 (likely the Duke). Like us, it seems like he’s bitten by the orange bug too.
Talking about the 390 Duke, its 2023 iteration was launched in India this month and it carries a fantastic price! Here’s all you need to know about it. In fact, our first ride review on the same drops on September 17 so do stay tuned!
