The Triumph duo, Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X have arrived today, to set a new standard in the sub-500cc Neo-retro segment.
Just a week ago, Triumph globally unveiled its new neo-retro duo, Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X which are set to be launched in India today. Bookings for both bikes were started just after they were unveiled, and we’re sure riders can’t wait to get their hands on these two.
A 398cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with 40PS and 37.5Nm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox, has powered both the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. You can head here to know the detailed difference between the two bikes. Although these bikes sport top-notch equipment and will be manufactured in India by Bajaj even for the international market, there are some key differences between the international-spec and India-spec motorcycles.
When it comes to their ex-showroom prices, we estimate that the Speed 400 might be priced for roughly Rs 2.90 lakh and the Scrambler 400 X for about Rs 3.20 lakh. The Scrambler 400X will compete with the Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, while the Speed 400 will go up against the likes of the KTM 390 Duke, Honda CB300R, BMW G 310 R, and Zontes GK350.
