Washington State Patrol to use Honda bikes

The Honda motorcycles are witnessing tremendous demand across the world and competing with another bikes brands like BMW, Ducati, Suzuku, Aprilia etc. Recently it is reported that the Washington State Patrol (WSP) which is the state police agency of Washington state will use Honda bikes.

For a long time Washington State Patrol (WSP) which is also known another name of Troopers were using Indian motorcycle but in the recent past all the WSP member were using BMW bikes which are famous for their reliability and latest technology loaded features.
 

Now the Washington State Patrol troopers are going to make some changes with replacing BMW bikes to Honda bikes. So now it is decided that they will use Honda bikes for them. The main reason for the change is that Honda bikes are smoother than BMW bikes when the bike runs at high speed, a trooper said.
 

There are 43 troopers in Washington State Patrol who will be armed with Honda's most popular and flagship bike Honda ST 1300 PA. The bike has stunning look along with high power V shape, single cylinder powerplant. And troopers are hoping to use this bike for a long time.
 

Honda ST 1300 PA was launched in Europe in 2002. Honda ST 1300 PA is especially equipped for police duty and is equipped with powerful 1261 cc DOHC 90° V-4 that produces top power of 125 bhp at the rate of 8,000 rpm and belts out peak torque of 85 ft. lbs at the rate of 6,000 rpm. It has five-speed transmission along with crash bars which serve as the protector in case of an accidental slip.
