Yamaha Motor India to help Dream Runners Foundation

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. has decided to help the Dream Runners Foundation to Fight against mental depression and prevention of suicides. The company in association with the foundation, will flag off the Dream Runners Half Marathon 2014 (DRHM 2014) at Elliot Beach, Chennai on Sunday June 22nd to support SNEHA (Suicide Prevention Helpline), a Chennai based NGO that fights against mental depression and prevention of suicides. More than 5000 participants are expected to participate in this marathon. Some of the noted names in fitness and sports will also be a part of this event including top runner Ms Neera Katwal and international squash champion Ms Deepika Pallikal. The DRHM 2014 will start at 5 AM from The Olcott School, Opposite Rajaji Bhavan near Elliot Beach, Besant Nagar in Chennai and will finish at the same point. The total distance of the marathon will be 21kms.
On this occasion Mr. Roy Kurian, Vice President-Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd said: “We as a company understand the need of the hour and believe that even small steps can spell a huge difference. To support the Marathon dedicated to the cause of “Fight against Mental Depression and Prevention of Suicides”, we’ve launched the Zippy Happy Life Campaign. Through this campaign, we want to encourage people to stay positive, healthy and happy. Our mascot Zippy is indeed a symbol of joy and we’ve made him the frontrunner for this campaign. Zippy will be seen throughout the marathon giving words on happy living to everyone.”
