2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid

The Yamaha FZ-S has been launched at the Auto Expo 2025. The bike now gets a similar hybrid assist technology as the Yamaha Fascino 125 and RayZR 125.

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid is powered by a 149cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. With the new hybrid technology, we expect the FZ-S Hybrid to deliver slightly increased power and torque figures, along with significantly more mileage.

The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid gets an LCD instrument cluster. It shows the speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, tripmeter, gear position indicator, clock and other basic information. It also comes with traction control, an automatic start/stop function and a silent starter. 

It also gets smartphone connectivity features for call/SMS alerts and music controls. However, it misses out on turn-by-turn navigation. The bike also features new switchgear for navigating the dashboard and managing these functions.

Suspension duties on the Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid is handled by a 41mm telescopic fork and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock. The bike is equipped with a 282mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear, with single-channel ABS as standard. The bike is fitted with 17-inch alloy wheels, along with 100-section front and 140-section rear tubeless tyres.

The Yamaha FZ-S Hybrid doesn’t have a direct competitor in the market. However, it goes up against the other 150-160cc premium commuters like the Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, Hero Xtreme 160R, Honda SP160 and Yamaha FZ-S FI V4.
