The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is a sport-touring motorcycle that offers a good balance between sporty performance and touring comfort. It's known for its powerful 1,043cc inline-four engine, which provides ample torque and horsepower for both spirited riding and long-distance touring. The bike features a comfortable riding position with an upright handlebar and a well-padded seat, making it suitable for extended rides. Some key features of the Ninja 1000SX include: 1. Adjustable Windscreen: The adjustable windscreen allows you to tailor the wind protection to your liking, which is a great feature for touring. 2. Advanced Electronics: It comes equipped with various riding modes, traction control, and cruise control, enhancing its versatility and safety. 3. Upside-Down Forks: The front suspension consists of inverted forks, offering better handling and control. 4. - The Sports Tourer Is Fantastic
I absolutely love the Ninja 1000 SX! It's incredibly versatile, shifting between a friendly ride and a wild one when needed. Plus, it's relatively affordable to maintain compared to other 1000cc bikes. Despite its size, it's very comfortable and has great mileage. The power is smooth and easy to manage, with decent ground clearance that's perfect for riding in Gujarat. The adjustable rear mono shock is a lifesaver when traveling with a passenger, and the plush ride makes it perfect for long trips.Read More
- Value for Money Sport Tourer
Writing this review after clocking 14,000 km on my 2022 Ninja 1000SX. To start with, very comfortable bike for long-distance touring. It was a little intimidating in beginning due to its size and weight but as you ride the bike everything falls into place and gets your confidence. Seat height is comfortable for someone more than 5.8” tall and 235 kgs of weight is properly distributed, only will feel the weight while manoeuvring bikes in parking or at tight U-turns. The electronic package put this bike a true value-for-money machine but at the same time needs to be very careful with cables and sensors. The engine is silky smooth in whatever gear and speed you ride. Heat management is fine and manageable for such a large engine. Ground clearance was the biggest issue due to the big catalyst convertor, it scraps almost all speed breakers and I changed to full system Akrapovic exhaust, making the bike lighter and adding much-needed ground clearance. Quickshifter makes the bike more fun, upshifts are fine but downshift is not as smooth and also don’t work below 2500 rpm. The stock windshield is adequate but above 140 kms/h you can feel a lot of wind blasts hitting your helmet no matter if you keep it in what setting. I was quite surprised with the way the bike performed on corners, it feels so simple and easy on curves that you tend to forget the bike’s weight and on highways it’s so stable thanks to the weight here. Due to the early steering lock and the weight of the bike, one needs to be careful during tight U-turns for the first few months of ownership. Fuel consumption is decent for a litre class bike, I get somewhere around 18 to 19 km per litre but Kawasaki recommends 95 octane fuel for their litre class bikes which is a little more costly than normal petrol. Kawasaki's general service is ok but parts are very expensive and also not readily available which will frustrate users. Overall, hand down Ninja 1000SX is the best sports tourer currently available in India. It has got all the electronic packages to keep you safe and a great suspension and engine to cruise our highways at a good speed and comfortably. If someone has shortlisted Ninja 1000SX then please go ahead with the purchase it will bring a smile every time you swing your legs on it. Period. Read More
- The Most Sensible Litre Class Motorcycle
let me begin with saying that the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is possibly the best bang for the buck motorcycle today. At 9.99 lakhs ex-showroom what you get it a state-of-the-art engineered, in-Line four, litre class motorcycle. For starters unlike super-sport the bike has a lot of usable power, great torqe-y engine in the low range, brilliantly responsive mid-range make it amazing to ride in the city and highways alike. I mean the attention it draws is crazy, else the bike could very well be a daily bike as well. The Kawasaki brand makes bullet proof engines so that is a huge plus in this machine, be it smooth refinement or the sheer power. it's possibly spaceship technology that the Ninja 1000 comes loaded with. 3 different traction modes, 2 power modes, cornering ABS and the rest of the works have been packed into this sports tourer. Which brings me to its touring capability, comfort for rider and pillion is immaculate. Smal smaller details such as neutral stance for seating, great wind blast protection with the 3 stage adjustable wind screen, bright lights for the night better than a lot of the so-called modern LED lighting systems out there. Not to discount the Sport DNA of the bike, in capable and experienced hands the Ninja 1000 can keep up with supersport machines, only to be left slightly behind at the extreme top end of the speedo and RPM dials. it is a confidence inspiring handler at straight-line high speeds, as much as it has the ability to corner into knee grazing lean angles at triple digit speeds upwards of 150 even. So to sum it up, supreme build quality, bullet proof engine, rocket-science electronics package (well at least for the price range it is superior to anything out there) perfect balance of the two DNA of sport and touring.Read More
