Bajaj Pulsar
The Bajaj Pulsar range of motorcycles is produced by Bajaj Auto, a Pune-based two-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj offers a selection of 11 new Pulsar bikes in India. The starting price for the Bajaj Pulsar range is Rs 91,750, for the cheapest Pulsar bike, the Pulsar 125. This bike features a 124.4cc engine and claims a mileage of 51.46kmpl. The highest-priced bike in the Pulsar lineup is the Pulsar RS200, priced at Rs 1.72 Lakh. It is equipped with a 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine and with 35kmpl claimed mileage. The popular Pulsar series also includes the Bajaj Pulsar 150 (Rs 1.17 Lakh) and the Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Rs 1.37 Lakh).
The Bajaj Pulsar family originated from the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180, both of which were launched at the same time back in 2001. It kick-started the sporty commuter segment, and became an instant hit in India. Over the years, the Pulsar family gave birth to different motorcycles belonging to a couple of different genres, and with different engine capacities. That said, all the bikes have sportiness in their genes.
Currently, there are 11 Pulsar bikes available to buy in India. The flagship bike is theBajaj Pulsar RS200 (priced at Rs 1.72 lakh), which, after the Pulsar NS200, was the second Bajaj Pulsar bike to be developed based on the KTM 200 Duke / KTM RC200. It’s the only fully-faired Pulsar bike on sale, and comes with a very aggressive design. That said, the riding posture is not as aggressive thanks to the raised clip-on handlebars. It’s more of a sporty tourer rather than an out-and-out track tamer. The Pulsar NS200 is its streetfighter twin, and is well-known for its balanced performance and handling.
Among the Pulsar models, the Bajaj Pulsar 125 (priced at Rs 91,750) is the cheapest bike. It shares a similar appearance with the Bajaj Pulsar 150. Its sportier sibling, the Bajaj Pulsar NS125 is based on the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, complete with streetfighter design, albeit with a smaller 125cc engine. In the bigger 150cc category, the Pulsar 150 still goes strong with the instantly recognisable design.
Bajaj also sells the Pulsar 150’s modern iteration in parallel, called the Bajaj Pulsar P150. It doesn’t stray too much away from the Pulsar 150’s looks but is tempered with modern technology including LED projector headlight, new semi-digital console, all-new engine and chassis, among others. Its streetfighter sibling, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 also looks properly modern, and is equipped with an air-oil-cooled engine. More importantly, it’s the only streetfighter in its segment to come with a proper dual-channel ABS. While the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is technically an older model compared to the Pulsar N160, it’s sportier thanks to the inclusion of an inverted fork.
The Pune-based bikemaker’s new-generation Pulsar range kicked off with the Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Bajaj Pulsar F250, both of which are built on a brand new chassis, as well as a refined, all-new air-oil-cooled 250cc heart. While the Pulsar F250 was touted to be the spiritual successor to the Bajaj Pulsar 220F, the latter still managed to make a comeback in BS6.2-compliant guise. It retains its iconic styling that has garnered so much fanfare over the years.
In the future, Bajaj is expected to introduce either a Pulsar P125 or a Pulsar P200, based on the 250cc platform (albeit heavily tweaked). The bikemaker is yet to confirm these upcoming Pulsar bikes, so we’ll have to wait and see what Bajaj has in store for us.

Bajaj Pulsar User Reviews
- Really I've been using ns160Really I've been using ns160 for almost 6mon & I'm getting a mileage of 47 in city & 56 in highways really stunned by the mileage. New 2024 model also now have Bluetooth compatibility, turn by turn navigation, led headlamps & thunder drls which is looking cool in the day time. I've done almost 3 services & not faced any issues. The new ns160 reaches a top speed of 125kmph which is amazing, initial pickup is also good asf. For city commute, with muscular look & better mileage surely the ns160 will be outperform with its price.Read MoreWas this review helpful?

- NS 125 OVERALL REVIEWThe bike has very good milage, it has a very peppy engine and can reach top end pretty quick. It is a 125cc so don't expect too much, comfort is not that good, seat is quite hard and pillion seat is quite rigid. There is no gear indicator but a neutral indicator is provided. Very low service cost and maintenance. If u arr looking for a bike with power, style and milage together, this is the perfect bike. Best for college studentsRead MoreWas this review helpful?
