You also get brushed metal finish in the plastic panels on the sides and on the flyscreen for added premiumness. The headlamp is halogen while the tail light is LED. Other notable features include 96-bit encrypted remote flip key, Find-Me lamps and a guide lamp which stays on for a while even after the ignition is switched off.

Centuro Expert Review

BikeDekho Experts
The Centuro is a decent effort by Mahindra in the premium commuter segment. Its USP is advanced features like encrypted key and others.

Overview

Mahindra is known as the most celebrated utility vehicle brand in India. The company has a wide range of SUVs and Jeeps in India. After proving itself in the Indian four wheeler market, the company thought to try their hand in the Indian two wheeler market. But the challenges of the most emerging two-wheeler market are even bigger and the prominent player of the four-wheels, struggling on two-wheels. However, this stage of competition, this step of the company can be proven as a fruit or a tort for the company. But the way of success always filled with risks. For taking an advantage, the company is using Italian technology in its bikes. The very first bike of the company was Mahindra Stallio, which failed to carter some numbers for itself. However, Mahindra tried again and launched a much better revised edition of Stallio called Mahindra Pantero. The bike is doing well due to its exciting features at an affordable price. But the design of the bike is not so impressive. So the company thought to launch another bike with same technology and features including some extra premium features and a more appealing design. That bike has been recently launched and named- Mahindra Centuro 110.

Mahindra launched the Centuro as a premium commuter segment bike. The bike has many advanced features and latest technology along with a very affordable price tag. Price of this 110 cc premium bike is comparable to other 100cc bikes. Also the company is offering a 5 years warranty with the bike. But the segment is filled with many amazing commuters and the competition is at a very high level. Let's get into the detailing of the bike and try to calculate that the bike is ready for the battle or not.

Design

The Mahindra Centuro is one of the Indian brand’s most advanced yet affordable premium  commuter. The most distinct design element the Centuro is the ‘Golden Ribs’ located just below the fuel tank. While they do not serve any practical purpose, they do make the bike look apart from the regular run-of-the-mill commuters. The Mahindra Centuro comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster which houses a Distance-To-Empty (DTE) gauge apart from the regular trove of information. The headlamp is a halogen unit, while the tail lamp is LED. Another interesting feature is the Find-Me lamp which can be switched on remotely to find the bike in crowded parking spots. There’s also a guide lamp which stays on even after switching off the ignition. This is particularly useful when walking out of a dimly-lit parking lot. You also get a pretty cool-looking remote flip key, which is secured with 96-bit encryption, as well as an engine immobiliser!

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Mahindra Centuro is powered by a 106.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine. Working in conjunction with a 4-speed transmission, it generates 8.5PS at 7500rpm and 8.5Nm at 5500rpm. The power delivery is a little too peaky, which slightly affects the top gear’s tractability, especially on the hills. Refinement, on the other hand, is quite well-controlled with only a little bit of vibes trickling into the handlebars and footpegs.

Handling & Ride Quality

The Mahindra Centuro makes do with 130mm drum on both ends, apart from a variant with a 240mm front petal disc. However, the bike lacks ABS or CBS when it comes to safety features. Expect Mahindra to update the motorcycle with CBS in a few months as the government mandates compulsory CBS for bikes below 125cc category.

Features

The bike has got many safety features which don't comes with other bikes in the segment. Its remote flip key is safer to keep in pocket. The key has a LED torch which can help in emergency. Find me system in blinker can help in finding the bike easy in emergency. Its engine's anti theft system along with the 96 bit encrypted remote key, sounds an alarm and locks the engine when anybody tries to theft the bike from another key. Its perfectly focused head lamp comes along with 2 LED pilot lamps which makes the way more clear in dark nights.

    Amazing Bike
This bike is stylish and comfortable to use for any person, as well as mileage is 76/l. The features are also good. Please restart the production on this bike. The feeling is better than HF Deluxe and Honda Shine, Unicorn, Splendor, and all Hero bikes. Mahindra is the heart of the nation.
