2016 'Bonnie': Triumph Street Twin Arriving at Auto Expo

In October 2015, British Motorcycle maker Triumph had confirmed the arrival of five new Bonneville motorcycles. Out of these five, three motorcycles will make their India debut at the Auto Expo. Triumph Bonneville Street Twin is one of these three bikes which are likely to be showcased at the biggest motoring show of the country and will be launched sometime in 2016. 

Powering of the Street Twin is the all new 900cc ‘high torque’ 8 valve, parallel twin engine that is expected to pump out 54bhp and 80Nm. Engineered with a charismatic 270-degree firing interval for smooth power delivery via 5-speed gearbox, the company has also used next generation ride-by-wire fuel injection and engine management system for instant throttle response. Except the new and stylish 900cc powertrain, the bike has a cutting edge liquid cooling system designed as per the latest emissions norms and with enhanced the fuel economy. The all new exhaust of Street Twin delivers the pleasing sound with a rich and raw note. 

 

The new Street Twin has been built around Tubular Steel Cradle frame having Kayaba 41mm forks up front and Kayaba twin shocks with adjustable preload at the rear side. Its chassis and suspension system delivers refined modern day intuitive handling. The Triumph’s signature ride dynamic of neutrality, agility and stability along with optimum comfort and control brings easy going riding experience. The standard features of the motorcycle include ABS, Traction Control, Immobiliser, USB Socket and LED rear light. 

In terms of styling, the bike is based on original Bonneville silhouette and features sharp and refined strip back styling. The clean lines and minimal body works create youthful appeal.
