Hero MotoCorp has launched the 2024 Xtreme 160R 4V in India, prices start at Rs 1,38,500 (ex-showroom). The bike comes with updated colours, graphics and features, making it more comfortable, safer and feature-loaded than before. However, these upgrades have also made it more expensive.
Hero Xtreme 160R 4V: Price & Rivals
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V comes in a single variant and has 3 colour options: Kevlar Brown (new), Neon Shooting Star, and Stealth Black. The Neon Shooting Star and Stealth Black are priced at Rs 1,38,500 whereas the Kevlar Brown is priced at Rs 1,39,500 (both prices ex-showroom).
What’s New On The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V?
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V now gets a new Kevlar Brown colour option, which is finished in a dual-tone black and brown colour, and gets golden graphics all around. Hero has removed the split-seat design and the bike now comes only with a single-piece seat option.
The new Xtreme 160R 4V gets a refreshed tail section with new rear panels and a new taillight design. The taillight also gets an Emergency Stop Signal for when you brake too hard. The bike now also gets a drag timer on the instrument console, to measure the bike’s acceleration.
The Xtreme 160R 4V sits on a diamond-type frame. It gets a KYB inverted fork and a 7-step preload-adjustable monoshock as standard now. The bike is now equipped with a 276mm petal disc at the front and a 220mm petal disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS as standard.
What Remains Unchanged On The Xtreme 160R 4V?
The Xtreme 160R 4V continues to be powered by a 163.2cc, air-/-oil-cooled engine that makes 16.9PS at 8500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The Hero Xtreme 160R 4V features all-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It offers over 25 features, including call and text alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, trip details, malfunction alerts, and various safety and security features such as ignition alerts, over-speed alerts, theft alerts, battery removal alerts, and remote immobilisation. The console also shows speed, odometer, tachometer, fuel level, gear position, clock and other basic telltale lights.
The Xtreme 160R 4V rides on 17-inch alloy wheels, fitted with a 100-section front and 130-section rear tyre. The bike features a 12-litre fuel tank, 795mm seat height and a ground clearance of 165mm.

However, this has resulted in a higher starting price for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V, at Rs 138,500 (ex-showroom), compared to its competitors.
