Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched the CBR650R and CB650R in India. The Honda CBR650R is a middleweight sportbike from the Japanese manufacturer, whereas the Honda CB650R is a naked streetfighter. Launched just ahead of the Auto Expo 2025, Honda might showcase both the 650cc bikes at the event.

Honda CBR650R & CB650R Price:

The 2025 Honda CBR650R comes at a price tag of Rs 9,99,000 and the naked 2025 Honda CB650R is priced at Rs 9,20,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Here’s what they get:

The Honda CBR650R and CB650R, both are powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline-4 engine that makes 93.8PS at 12,000rpm and 63Nm at 9,500rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch as standard.

Featurewise, both Honda bikes are equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, via Honda RoadSync App. The console also displays speed, odometer, fuel gauge, two tripmeters, gear position and upshift indicator readouts along with basic telltale lights. Both the CBR650R and the CB650R get all-LED lighting.

The Honda CBR650R and CB650R get a Showa inverted fork and a 10-step preload adjustable monoshock. The braking setup on both bikes includes 310mm dual-disc brakes at the front and 240mm disc at the rear. Both bikes are fitted with 17-inch wheels, wrapped with 120-section front and 180-section rear tubeless tyres.

Honda CBR650R & CB650R Rivals:

The Honda CBR650R being a 650cc sportbike will compete against the likes of Triumph Daytona 660 and Kawasaki Ninja 650. On the other hand, the naked CB650R will go up against the 650cc streetfighters including Triumph Trident 660 and Kawasaki Z900.

BikeDekho Says:

We are glad to see the middleweight Honda bikes making their way back to India. However, Honda has just missed the mark with pricing as the CBR650R is priced slightly above the Triumph Daytona and the naked CB650R is more expensive than the Trident 660, both of which provide more performance as compared to the 650cc Honda bikes.
