Modified On Jul 11, 2019 05:52 PM By Praveen M. for Suzuki Gixxer 150[2019-2024]

The 2019 iteration comes with revised bodywork design and an LED headlamp

The price has been revealed by our dealer sources. The silver shade looks similar to the one on the 2019 Suzuki Gixxer SF. There’s an FI badge on the fuel tank too.

The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer has been spotted and we have got some exclusive images for you. As per our dealer sources, the motorcycle is likely to cost Rs 1.25 lakh (on-road Chennai). To give you a perspective, the current-gen Gixxer costs Rs 1.10 lakh (on-road Chennai).

Interestingly, the silver shade looks quite identical to the one on the 2019 Gixxer SF. The panel covering the middle portion of the frame gets a darker shade compared to the one on the bodywork, giving it a dual-tone look. There’s an FI badge on the left side of the fuel tank too, which confirms the presence of fuel injection.

The engine will be borrowed from the 2019 Gixxer SF and is expected to have the same state of tune as well. In the faired motorcycle, the 154.9cc single-cylinder BS6-ready engine develops 14.1PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm at 6000rpm, and works alongside a 5-speed gearbox.

Underpinnings include the same telescopic fork up front and rear monoshock as its predecessor. The bike comes to a halt using disc brakes on both ends with a single-channel ABS as standard.

For 2019, the Gixxer sports a new bodywork design and the headlamp is LED as well. Suzuki has also equipped the bike with a new instrument cluster whose housing looks similar to 2019 Gixxer SF’s.  The tail section is sleeker and features split seats instead of a single-piece unit on its predecessor. At the rear, the LED tail light looks similar to the one on the 2019 Gixxer SF. The motorcycle was spotted earlier in a blue-black dual tone colour.

As far as ex-showroom price is concerned, expect the 2019 iteration to be dearer by Rs 10,000 over the current model which costs Rs 88,941 (ex-showroom Delhi). We believe Suzuki could launch the motorcycle pretty soon. When launched, it will compete against the Honda CB Hornet 160R, Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Yamaha FZ FI Version 3.0 and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.
