Modified On Mar 12, 2016 07:41 PM By Naveen Soni for Honda CD 110 Dream

The second largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India- Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) have launched a deluxe version of its most affordable motorcycle- the CD 110 Dream DX. The new trim comes with self-start as a standard feature and it has been priced at INR 46,197 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) i.e. Rs. 2,200 more than the standard variant.

Along with the self-start feature, the company has also added new black and green graphics which have been introduced exclusively for the new deluxe variant. So now, the self-start variant will be available in 4 colours including the 3 existing colour.

Since its launch in 2014, the CD 110 Dream has gained popularity for its HET engine, outstanding performance and its durable yet practical ease of use. The new CD 110 Dream Deluxe uses Honda’s time-tested 110cc, air-cooled engine that powers the whole Dream series of motorcycles from the company. The motor has a power output of 8.25bhp that comes at 7,500rpm and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 74kmpl.

The CD110 Dream Deluxe will do well in the Indian market as its got a high ground clearance of 179mm, extended wheelbase of 1258mm, long seat, and other useful features like tubeless tyres, viscous air filter and a maintenance free battery. All these features add together to offer a true workhorse of a motorcycle.

If we talk about the competition, the Honda CD 110 Dream Deluxe looks a bit more premium than the other options in the respective segment. Its biggest rival in the Indian market is the TVS Star City Plus which is also a premium motorcycle and comes at a slightly higher price but  with a difference of just around Rs. 1,250.
