Jawa BS6 And Forty Two BS6 Launched In India

Modified On Mar 2, 2020 12:02 PM By Alpesh Rajpurohit for Jawa 350

The BS6-compliant Jawa and Forty Two are around Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,928 more expensive than the BS4 models

Deliveries of both bikes are likely to begin by the first week of April.  Expect the power and torque figure from the 293cc motor to remain unchanged.  The updated bikes are likely to sport the same design as their BS4 counterparts.

Classic Legends, the company that manufactures modern Jawa motorcycles, have launched the BS6 iterations of the standard Jawa and Forty Two. The updated motorcycles get a price hike ranging from Rs 5,000 to Rs 9,928. Want to know the price of the specific variant that you are looking for? Well, just scroll down.

As of now, Jawa has not revealed any images of the motorcycles, or the spec sheet, for that matter. However, we expect the BS6 Jawa and the Forty Two to look the same as the older versions and the 293cc motor is expected to produce similar power and torque figures as before. For reference, the older BS6-ready unit makes 27.3PS of power and 28Nm of torque. Now you may think that since these motorcycles were already BS6-ready, the price increment is a bit on the steeper side. However, it is important to note that the prices of these motorcycles have remained the same since their launch, unlike bikes from other manufacturers that have received price hikes bit by bit to offset the cost of upgrading them to comply with the upcoming emission regulations.

The Jawa goes up against the Benelli Imperiale 400 and the Royal Classic 350 BS6. We have already done a comparison between the BS4 versions of these motorcycles, which you can read here
