Earlier this year, Triumph launched the all-new Daytona 660 in the UK. The third bike to be based on Triumph’s 660cc platform, after the Trident 660 and the Tiger Sport 660, is now coming to India and the manufacturer has confirmed that it will be launched on our shores on August 29, 2024.

The Triumph Daytona 660 is powered by a 660cc, liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder engine producing 95PS at 11,250rpm and 69Nm at 8,250rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The suspension duties are handled by a 41mm inverted fork with 110mm wheel travel and a Showa monoshock with 130mm wheel travel. The braking setup consists of twin 310mm discs with 4-piston radial calipers at the front and a single 220mm disc with a single-piston sliding caliper at the rear.

The sports tourer gets a tubular steel perimeter frame, tall clip-on handlebars, underbelly exhaust and twin-LED headlight setup. In terms of features, the bike gets a TFT instrument console, three riding modes: Sport, Road and Rain and switchable traction control. Bluetooth connectivity with turn-by-turn navigation, phone and music controls are available as an accessory. Other accessories include a quickshifter, heated grips, underseat USB socket and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).

The Triumph Daytona 660 is expected to be launched with a price tag of about Rs 9.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and will rival the likes of the Aprilia RS 660, Honda CBR650R, Kawasaki Ninja 650 and the upcoming Yamaha R7.
