The new variant of the Speed 400 could offer new colours and accessories

Triumph sent us a invite for an upcoming bike launch The event is set to take place on September 17, 2025 The bike will likely be a new variant of the Triumph Speed 400

Triumph Motorcycles recently sent us an invite for the launch of an upcoming bike on September 17, 2024. Judging by the teaser, we believe it could be a new variant of the Speed 400. The new variant could offer a range of new colours and few accessories as standard.

The teaser has revealed the tank and engine of the upcoming bike, and it looks quite similar to the Triumph Speed 400. The tank sports the same shape as the Speed 400’s and has the offset fuel cap. It also features a similar handlebar and bar-end mirror setup as the Speed 400, which indicates that the bike could just be a new variant of the Speed 400.

The new Triumph Speed 400 variant could be a more premium version of the Triumph Speed 400. It could offer a new set of colours, something a bit more bright and sporty along with a different design. Other than the new colours, this variant could also come with a bunch of accessories as standard, accessories such as the windscreen, a quilted seat and we hope adjustable levers. Otherwise, the Speed is quite a good-looking bike in itself so we don’t think there will be any major changes.

Performance wise, it is unlikely to come with any changes. The bike will be powered by the same 399cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X, producing 40PS and 37.5Nm.

Underpinnings wise, the variant will likely be the same too. It will be suspended on a 43mm inverted fork and a gas-charged preload adjustable monoshock. Braking setup is likely to be the same, with a 300mm front and a 230mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.

In terms of pricing, we can expect the new variant to come at around Rs 2.4 to 2.45 lakh ex-showroom. This will also allow Triumph to keep the entry level Triumph Speed 400 at the same price of Rs 2,34,497 (ex-showroom) and at the same time offer a more premium variant as well for customers who are looking for something more.
