Yamaha M-Slaz aka MT-15 Launched in Thailand at Rs. 1.66 lac

After much speculations Yamaha M-Slaz aka MT-15 is finally launched during the ongoing Thailand Motor Show. Based on YZF-R15 Version 2.0 platform, the bike is priced at Rs. 1.66 Lac (89,500 Thai Baht). The bike was earlier revealed at the promotional event in Thailand.
M-Slaz uses certain elements from its faired sibling such as 149cc single cylinder engine and the delta box frame. Contrary to the rumoured images, the bike has not got a keyless ignition system and the key slot is placed on the fuel tank. The starter switch of the motorcycle is borrowed from the bigger MT series like MT-09 and MT-07.

The MT-15 is drawing its power from the same R15’s 4-stroke single cylinder SOHC engine and delivers the power output of 17PS at 8,500rpm and the peak torque of 15Nm at 7,500rpm. All the technical details are out now and the bike is available at the price tag of 89,500 Thai Baht, which comes to around 1.66 Lacs INR. The bike will be available in 4-colours options. The India launch of M-Slaz is not likely to happen in near future.
