Yamaha MT-07 revealed at 2013 Milan Motor Show

Modified On Nov 6, 2013 12:00 AM By Naveen Soni for Yamaha YZF R1

Coming from The Dark Side of Japan, Yamaha has revealed its new MT series super naked bike MT-07 at 2013 EICMA. The bike has been inspired by its elder sibling Yamaha MT-09, however it has both cosmetic and mechanical changes.

Made on one of the lightest and slimest tubular backbone frame, the bike provides you the optimum riding enjoyment. Dimentions of this light weight bike makes riding comfortable, so you can enjoy your ride with ease in control.

Yamaha MT 07 boasts an all-new economical 689cc inline 2-cylinder engine developed using Yamaha’s ’crossplane philosophy’ for low rpm torque. The bike can deliver a maximum power of 73.8bhp @ 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 68Nm @ 6,500rpm.

The light weight construction and new economical engine makes its performance more responsive with a quite good fuel economy. Its bold headlamp suits its mass forward designing and this combination gives a perfect street bike feel to the machine.

Its unique LED taillamp, angular mirrors, lightweight cast aluminium 10-spoke wheels, Z-shaped air intake scoops and the exhaust pipes are also taken as the MT style statement from the MT-09.

The bike looks a good package for the Indian roads, if launched with a price tag below Rs. 7 lakh. And it will compete for the likes of Ninja 650 and Hyosung GT650R and GT650N in India.
