The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has a 13-litre fuel tank capacity and delivers a claimed mileage of around 37-38kmpl in mixed riding conditions (including the city and highway. This means that you can easily get a range of about 450km on a full tank.

Is the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 suitable for shorter riders?

With a seat height of 805mm, the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is suitable for riders of different heights. However, shorter riders may have to tip-toe to place both feet on the ground as the bike is a bit wider than most commuter bikes.

How does the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 perform in the city?

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is powered by the same 349cc air-cooled single-cylinder J-Series engine, from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Meteor 350 and Classic 350. The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission and makes 20.4PS at 6100rpm and 27Nm at 4000rpm. The J-series engine makes the Bullet smoother than before. It has a linear power delivery with significantly reduced vibrations at higher RPMs.

The Bullet 350 performs exceptionally well in the city. The 350cc engine has enough power and torque for you to comfortably ride in the city and overtake other vehicles. It keeps you engaged even while riding at low speeds and delivers an enjoyable riding experience.

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350’s new engine is refined and has linear power delivery, making it relaxed for long highway rides, the bike can cruise easily around 80kmph. The improved suspension setup, the well-cushioned, easy-to-reach handlebar and the mid-set footpegs provide a comfortable riding experience. The braking performance of the Bullet 350 is also good. So the Bullet 350 is actually a pretty decent option for long highway rides, as long as you’re not expecting to tour at very high speeds.

What features does the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 get?

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 comes with a halogen headlight along with bulb-type tail light and indicators. It features the same semi-digital instrument console from the Classic 350 with an analogue speedometer, while the digital screen shows the odometer, fuel gauge, trip meters, and other basic telltale lights. The Bullet 350 gets an optional tripper pod that supports smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike comes with a USB charging port, which is placed on the left side of the handlebar.

Is the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 worth buying?

With the new and more refined J-series engine, improved suspension, and a semi-digital instrument cluster, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is even better than before. Even with the updated look, the bike retains its retro design and comes in a range of colour options for the customer to choose from. Additionally, for turn-by-turn navigation, customers can opt for the navigation tripper.

Bullet 350 Expert Review

BikeDekho Experts
Royal Enfield has preserved the iconic Bullet's classic charm while modernising it just enough. The more refined J-series engine and updates to the bike – including the improved suspension, gearbox, and retro colour schemes – make the Bullet 350 stand out. The bike impresses with its refined performance and better ride quality and is one of the best retro roadster bikes in the Indian market.

Overview

One of the most iconic and loved motorcycles of all time, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 received a comprehensive makeover in 2023. With an evolved design, new features, and new-generation mechanicals, the Bullet 350 continues its legacy in the 350cc segment of classic motorcycles. The Bullet 350 is a perfect motorcycle for riders looking to be a part of Royal Enfield's heritage. Available in multiple colour schemes, the Royal Enfield Buller 350 is on sale between Rs 1,73,562 and Rs 2,15,801.

Design

Despite a thoroughly revised design, the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 maintains its original look that has existed for decades. All the traditional elements of the Bullet 350, including a rounded headlamp, rounded fuel tank, triangular side panels and slightly squared rear fender, are still intact. However, all these panels are slightly redesigned, with the motorcycle also getting a new rounded tail lamp and turn indicators.

Except for the base-spec Military version, all other versions of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 have stylish hand-painted pinstripes on the fuel tank and old-school Bullet badges. Staying true to its tradition, the Bullet 350 comes with spoke wheels. Except for the top-spec Black Gold colour, which gets a blacked-out theme for the engine, exhaust pipe, and wheels, the other colour options get the chrome treatment for these elements.

Engine, Mileage & Performance

The Bullet 350 is the fourth motorcycle from Royal Enfield to get the new-generation single-cylinder, air-cooled, 349cc J-series engine. Claiming 20.2 PS @ 6,100 rpm of maximum power and 27 Nm @ 4,000 rpm of maximum torque, this engine feels much smoother than the previous-generation UCE engine.

Thanks to its linear power delivery, the Bullet 350 offers predictable performance with significantly reduced vibrations at higher RPMs. The new engine makes the Bullet 350 perfect for city commuting and relaxed highway cruising. The engine is paired with a 5-speed transmission that allows effortless and smooth gear shifting.

Handling & Ride Quality

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 shares the suspension setup, brakes, and tyres with the new Classic 350 model. The new 41mm telescopic fork at the front and dual-sided coil springs have significantly improved the riding dynamics and the way the Bullet 350 handles, especially at higher speeds. It now feels more balanced and responsive, making it easier to navigate through different road conditions. On the highways and winding roads, the Bullet 350 feels more planted and inspires more confidence.

The 300mm front disc brake does a decent job of stopping the motorcycle easily, but it could use a bit more initial bite and feel. On the other hand, the 270mm rear disc brake in the dual-channel ABS versions provides a good sense of control. The single-channel ABS version gets a rather old-school 153mm drum brake for the rear wheel.

Comfort

Besides making the new Bullet 350 more agile and composed to ride, the new-generation suspension setup effectively absorbs bumps and rough patches on the road. It ensures that the Bullet 350 maintains stability and traction on smoother and unpaved roads. The motorcycle remains manageable over bad roads and doesn't compromise overall comfort.

With a seat height of 805mm, the new Royal Enfield Bullet 350 comfortably accommodates riders of different heights. The neutral positioning of the footpegs offers a relaxed riding posture that enhances comfort during long rides.

Features

Staying true to its old-school appeal, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has retained its key elements but upgraded some of its features. It shares some features with the Classic 350: A part-digital instrument console, including an analogue speedometer and an LCD screen for fuel level, odometer, and trip meter as well as the new-generation switches, USB chargers, rounded rearview mirrors and tubular pillion grab rail.

Should you buy

The increased pricing of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 has brought it much closer to the positioning of the Classic 350. However, with slightly revised side panels, old-school colours, a different and more comfortable seat, and the iconic squared rear fender, the Bullet 350 retains an identity of its own.
