Royal Enfield Classic 650 Summary
The all-new Royal Enfield has unveiled the highly-anticipated Classic 650 at the EICMA 2024. Royal Enfield Classic 650 gets the familiar 'Classic' styling complete with a circular headlight, circular indicators, spoke wheels at both ends and side panels similar to the Royal Enfield Classic 350. It is available in four colours, you can check them all out here.
The Classic 650 is based on the same 650cc platform as the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, Bear 650, and Shotgun 650. It gets a slightly tweaked 647.95cc air-/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine that produces 47.6PS and 52Nm, with a 6-speed gearbox.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 features the same semi-digital instrument console as the Classic 350 with an optional navigation tripper pod. The tripper pod supports smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth for turn-by-turn navigation. The bike also has a USB charging port.
The bike employs a telescopic fork with fork covers, twin rear shock absorbers, and 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels wrapped in 140-section front and 100-section rear tyres. Braking is handled by a 320mm front disc and a 300mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS.
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will likely be launched in January 2025, at around Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom). There are no direct rivals, though the closest neo-retro alternative would be the BSA Gold Star 650 and Kawasaki Z650RS.
