The Vespa ZX 125 is the most affordable scooter from the Italian manufacturer in India. It is based on the Vespa VXl and shares the same classic Italian design. However, the ZX 125 has a smaller front wheel and slightly less ground clearance.

Vespa has priced the ZX at Rs 1,15,414 (ex-showroom Maharashtra). It comes in six colours: Yellow, Red, Grey, White, Black and Light Blue.
Vespa ZX Features:
The Vespa ZX is just as retro in terms of features as well. It gets a completely analogue console. There’s an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge and odometer with some tell-tale lights around the speedometer. The only digital bit is the clock beneath the console.
Vespa ZX Engine:
The Vespa ZX’s 124.45cc 3-valve engine makes 9.77PS at 7,400rpm and 10.11Nm at 5,600rpm. For perspective, India’s most powerful 125cc scooter, the NTorq 125 Race XP edition makes 10.2PS and 10.8Nm.
Vespa ZX Suspension, Brakes & Other Details:
The ZX’s Hydraulic Single-side arm Front suspension is designed in a way that prevents nose dives under hard braking. At the rear, meanwhile, you get a monoshock that has 4-step preload adjustability. Braking is taken care of by a 200mm front disc brake and a 140mm rear drum brake with CBS as standard. The 10-inch wheels are shod with 90/100 rubber at both ends.
Other details about the Vespa ZX include a 1290mm wheelbase, a rather accessible 770mm seat height and a 7.4-litre fuel tank.

- Vespa ZX was the worst of many purchasesVespa ZX was the worst of many purchases. Without any pretenses, problems started cropping up just after 6 month of use and at 5000 kms, a service charge of 3000 rs was levied on a brand new scooter. Even after informing about the problem regarding the engine light, it was ignored till the fifth payment when the excuse was fuel pump. That experience has made me realise that Vespa services are just a scam and spares cost more than other brands.
