We find out whether the Infinity E1 is the perfect middle ground between low-speed electric scooters and high-speed ones
Electric two-wheelers in India broadly come under two major categories: low-speed and high-speed EVs. The former is a lot more affordable and does not require a license to ride. Consequently, it is the most significant contributor to sales in the EV segment.
Bounce intends to change this with the newly launched Infinity E1 electric scooter. Does it bridge the gap between the accessible low-speed electric scooters and the feature-packed high-speed ones? Here’s everything you need to know about it:
Launch Story:
Ride-sharing platform Bounce launched its first electric scooter, the Bounce Infinity E1, in the country back in December 2021. It is priced competitively and also packs a few tricks up its sleeves.
Likes And Dislikes:
Considering its claimed specs and features, the Bounce Infinity E1 certainly seems promising. But how do these stack up in the real world? We took it out for a ride, and here’s what we liked about it (and what we didn’t). And if you’d like to go through a more pictorial representation of the review, check this out.

Colours Explained:

Test Ride Details:

Verdict:
All in all, the Bounce Infinity E1 neatly bridges the gap between low-speed and high-speed electric scooters not only in performance but also, more importantly, in terms of cost. The swappable battery reduces the downtime of an EV considerably, alleviating range anxiety. Moreover, offering the e-scooter with the battery pack as a service makes it highly affordable. Though the quality levels are on par for an e-scooter at its price point, there still is some scope for improvement. We also hope the throttle and braking are improved in the production version.
Summing up, if you’re in the market for an affordable electric scooter for your daily commute, the Infinity E1 is kind of hard to ignore.
