The new additions come at a premium of Rs 6140 for the front disc only version and Rs 6640 for the rear disc one
Sports the new TVS Racing livery. New bar-end weights introduced to reduce vibrations. No mechanical changes reported. While updating the entire Apache series with ABS, TVS has also given a new lease of life to the old Apache RTR 160. The refreshed aesthetic updates make the 160 still look pleasing to the eye even though the design is a decade old. These updates has bumped up the prices of the RTR 160 to Rs 85,510 for the base-spec variant and the rear disc brake-equipped variant now costs Rs 88,339 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). That translates to a premium of Rs 6140 and Rs 6640 over their non-ABS versions respectively.
The new RTR 160 gets the current TVS Racing inspired livery. It still gets the faux carbon fibre treatment on a few panels which lends it a premium look. Complementing this new styling is an all-new backlit speedometer. The riding experience is all set to be a little more refined too, thanks to a new seat and new bar-end weights.
The engine remains the same 159.7cc single-cylinder carbureted motor which makes 15.12PS and 13.03Nm. This engine continues to come fitted with a 2-valve head as TVS wants to target the commuter-end of the 160cc segment with this version.
The motorcycle continues to come in two variants, rear drum and rear disc versions. Both variants are equipped with single-channel ABS which TVS is calling Super Moto ABS. The non-ABS versions will no longer be on sale post April 1.
