2020 BS6-compliant Harley-Davidson Street 750 Deliveries Commence
The American bike maker becomes the first manufacturer to deliver a BS6-compliant motorcycle in India!
The BS6-compliant engine produces the same torque figure as the older model. Deliveries of the BS6-compliant Street 750 have commenced across the country. The company is also offering benefits of Rs 37,000 on both models.Harley-Davidson has commenced deliveries of the 2020 Street 750, making it the first BS6-compliant motorcycle to go on sale in the country! While most of the bike makers are still planning to launch their BS6-compliant motorcycles, the Bar & Shield company has pipped each and every one of them.
Generally, we have seen that BS6-compliant engines have a slightly different engine output compared to their BS4 counterparts, but the Street 750 is an exception. The 749cc Revolution X V-twin motor produces the same torque as the older model - 60Nm at 3750rpm. What’s more interesting is that even with the BS6-compliant motor, the weight of the motorcycle remains the same as before, at 233kg (wet).
Harley-Davidson is also offering benefits worth Rs 37,000 on the standard Street 750 as well as the limited-edition variant. Customers can redeem that benefit for accessories or opt for free insurance. However, you might need to act fast as only 200 units of the limited edition are left right now! The Street 750 is not the only model in Harley India’s lineup which is available with such benefits. These discounts are valid on the Street Rod as well!
However, once the new emission norms kick in, Harley-Davidson might increase the price of the Street 750. But we expect it won’t be a substantial increase over the standard model, which retails at Rs 5.34 lakh (ex-showroom).
