A closer look at the more dependable version of the beloved Bajaj CT100
Just when we thought commuter bikes couldn’t get any more purposeful, Bajaj launched the CT110X.
Owing to its CT badge, the 110X is another workhorse by Bajaj but in a more rugged trim, and it looks like it too, thanks to the many stand-out bits.
Up front you get a new round headlight with a grille and an LED DRL.
Then there are the sturdier crash guards and the luggage mounting plate (max capacity 7kg).
Also adding to the durable look are a raised front fender, a dual-texture seat, and tank pads.

Other than these physical bits, most of the components come from the standard CT110. The proven 115cc DTS-i motor is employed here too, delivering 8.6PS and 9.81Nm.
Housing the motor is a double-cradle chassis sprung on a gaited telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers.
Being a purpose-built bike, there’s more function here than form, which is clear from its basic analogue instrument cluster and halogen lighting.
It even misses out on disc brakes as drum brakes at both ends anchor the bike. What you do get are knobby tyres which Bajaj claims can handle any terrain with ease.
And if you plan on taking this off the road, the bash plate and the 170mm ground clearance should help minimise damage.
Lastly, the Bajaj CT 110X retails at Rs 55,494 (ex-showroom Delhi), meaning all the extra kit comes at a premium of Rs 1,400 over the standard CT110. We think that’s a pretty solid deal, right there!
