2021 Benelli TRK 502X Breaks Cover
The upcoming ADV motorcycle receives cosmetic and mechanical updates
Benelli has finally revealed the new TRK 502X adventure tourer. While the bike revealed is the QJ Motor’s SRT 500, the next generation TRK will be based on the same motorcycle. Currently both the Benelli ADV duo have been discontinued from the Indian market as they don’t adhere to the new BS6 emission norms.
As you can see the big change on the next generation TRK 502X is its revised styling. The new adventure tourer looks sportier than the older bike and features an all-LED headlight. The beak and knuckle guards have also been redesigned. The semi-digital instrument console unit of the older bike has been replaced with a 5-inch TFT colour display.

Powering the bike is the same 500cc parallel-twin motor as seen on the older bike. We aren’t sure whether this engine adheres to BS6 emission norms, but Benelli has confirmed that it’s developing a BS6-compliant one for our market. The liquid-cooled powerplant is rated at 48PS and 47.5Nm. One of the biggest issues with the older TRK 502 was its heft, which strained the engine and hampered its performance.

Benelli has managed to drop 10kg on the new bike and this should help improve its performance. The Italia brand has managed weight loss with revised bodywork and a magnesium swingarm. The upcoming ADV bike has also been equipped with Brembo brakes and Bosch ABS, which should result in better breaking prowess. Suspension hardware and the frame has been carried over from its predecessor.
While Benelli India’s current portfolio only has the BS6 Imperiale, it has confirmed that the BS6 version of the TRK will be coming to India next year. Both the TRK 502 and the 502X will go on sale in the Indian market, and given the updates a price hike of around Rs 35,000 to 45,000 is expected. Watch this space for more.
