2021 MV Agusta Rush 1000: Detailed Photo Gallery

A closer look at MV Agusta’s monstrous 200PS naked motorcycle

MV Agusta has pushed the envelope of motorcycle design with the 2021 Rush 1000. In typical MV fashion, the exotic bikemaker has created an eye-candy of a motorcycle, yet again.

The Rush shouts exotic from head to toe and is surely one of the brawniest 1000cc naked motorcycles out there. This is thanks to its exquisite design language that blends old school styling with radical modern elements, a combination MV Agusta is lauded for pulling off well.

For instance, the golden fork and the aggressive tank shrouds accentuate the bikes' otherwise traditional circular LED headlight.

Pan rearward and you’ll notice more striking aspects like the beefy tank and the beautifully done floating tail section.

The tail end is rounded off by four slash-cut exhausts, a signature design feature on most MV Agustas.

The bike gets a dark grey finish with bright yellow accents on the tank, alloys, and even the tail light. 

The Rush also gets a set of unique aerodynamic winglets. Why, you ask?

Because it's extremely hard to keep the front end down on a 210PS motorcycle weighing just 186kg. These ridiculous power figures are courtesy of the Rush’s 998cc, four-cylinder engine, which belts out  2PS more than the Ducati Streetfighter V4, the most powerful naked motorcycle you can buy in India right now. 

MV is also offering a ‘Race Kit’ that bumps the power up to 212PS and includes a SC exhaust, a seat cowl, race fuel tank cap, brake/clutch levers with protection, petal discs, a customised cover, and a certificate of origin. 

An extensive electronic suite keeps the bike on a leash. This includes cornering ABS, wheelie control, torque control with four maps, 8 levels of traction control, launch control, and cruise control, all accessible through its 5.5-inch TFT dash. 

Also part of the package is a bi-directional quickshifter, bluetooth navigation, and ride-by-wire. For the brave-hearted, the Rush also lets you switch off the traction control and wheelie control, although we wouldn’t recommend it on public roads.

The Rush was built to set tracks on fire. This is clearly visible from its low clip-on handlebar, adjustable rear-set footpegs, and an extremely tall seat height of 845mm.

Adding to the bike’s handling capabilities are top-shelf components such as electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension, top-of-the-line Brembo Stylema brakes, and sticky Pirelli Super Corsa rubber.

Usually an extravagant package like this comes at an eye-watering price and the Rush is no different. Retailing at 38,800 euros (almost Rs 35 lakh) and with a limited production of only 300 units, the Rush will probably never make it to India but it’s surely going on our wallpapers for now!
