2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Spotted Testing In Two Variants, Official Launch Soon

Modified On Aug 17, 2021 03:00 PM By Pratik Bhanushali for Royal Enfield Classic 350

We expect Royal Enfield to launch the bike by the end of August

[UPDATE: The 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been launched in India. To know the pricing, specifications and other details, head to our launch story here.]

Inching closer to launch, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spotted testing yet again, with both spoke and alloy wheels. The bike will be available in two variants: single and dual-channel ABS (with the choice of spoke or alloy wheels). It appears to be production-ready and will likely be launched by the end of August.

The alloy wheel version seems to be painted in the ‘Classic Black’ colour, whereas the spoked wheel model appears to be in ‘Pure Black’ similar to the current-gen Classic 350. The alloy design looks slightly different from the current ones, so expect these rims to be a part of Royal Enfield’s ‘Make It Yours’ program. The alloy wheel variant will roll on tubeless tyres, which aid in handling punctures way better than a tubed tyre.

Expect the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 to be powered by the Meteor 350’s motor (in the same state of tune). It makes 20.4PS and 27Nm, and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Royal Enfield will likely offer the tripper navigation pod as an option. The upcoming Classic 350 was also spotted in a ‘Stealth Black’ paint, revealing updated switchgear (same as the Meteor 350) and a revised instrument console.

The sprung seat has made way for a regular one, with more cushion. That said, the telescopic fork, twin rear shock absorbers, and disc brakes at both ends will be retained. However, the single-channel ABS version spotted recently, will likely employ a 153mm drum at the rear.

We expect the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 to retail at a premium of Rs 6,000 - Rs 9,000 over the current model, which retails at Rs 1,79,782 (ex-showroom) onwards. It will rival the Honda H’ness CB350, Benelli Imperial 400, and the Jawa.
