Everyone’s been raving about the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350, and for good reason. Royal Enfield has put in a lot of work to ensure the new Classic not only retains its retro DNA but also performs as a modern machine should. We’ve already ridden the bike so if you’re looking for an in-depth review, you can click on this link. As for this article, well, we’ll mostly focus on how the bike performs.

Right off the bat, you’ll notice the 2021 Classic 350 is quicker off the line. Heck, it’s a whole 6.55 seconds faster to get to 100kmph!. Not only this, but unlike the older Classic, the new model keeps pulling till about 120kmph and can sit there quite comfortably all day long. This is possible thanks to the new J-series engine that powers the bike. While it makes pretty much the same power and torque as before it’s a lot more refined and delivers its power in a linear fashion.

There is a noticeable difference in roll-on accelerations as well. The 2021 Classic feels livelier and has more than enough bottom and mid-range torque for quick overtakes.

The new ByBre calipers make a huge difference in terms of braking performance. There is good bite, feel and progression through the levers, and besides, the numbers speak for themselves.

The new J-series engine is just as fuel-efficient as before at higher speeds and while carrying a heavier test rider. That’s a huge improvement in our opinion. Not to mention it can cruise at triple-digit speeds with ease and feels rock solid. The tractable motor makes ambling around in city traffic at low speeds and absolute breeze.
