2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 - Which Colour To Buy?
Of all the delectable new shades, which one is our favourite for the RE roadster?
Royal Enfield’s mid-life update for the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 arrived this past week. The 650 twins now have a host of new colour options with the majority of them running on black spoke wheels, kitted with black mudguards and fork gaiters. Prices have gone up by a fair margin, and you can check out how much you need to shell out here. In this story, we have listed all the colours that now arrive on the 2021 INT 650 and given you our top picks:
Orange Crush
Easily the most recognisable colour on the Interceptor 650. The same bright orange tank looks lovely in broad daylight. That said, it is too common a colour. If you want something refreshing, we suggest you look at some of the other new shades.

This cool blue shade of the Interceptor 650 first made an appearance on the Continental GT 650. On the roadster, though, there is no racing stripe at the centre. It does look subtle and rather similar to the Orange Crush. So much so, you might just grow bored of looking at it over a period of time.
Canyon Red
In this brick red colour, Royal Enfield has found a third single-tone option for the INT 650. It is bright and in contrast to the black overalls of the motorcycle.
Baker Express
Still as refreshing as it was in 2018, the ‘Baker Express’ colour has been a darling, a favourite for most of us in the office. Royal Enfield has managed to bring out the cool beach-friendly vibe of the Interceptor with this option.
Sunset Strip
There’s nothing quite like savouring a sunset at the beach. Well, Royal Enfield tried to capture this very emotion with this particular colour option. The black tank gets a thick red bottom section with the two separated by a small but prominent gold line. What makes it even more enticing is the golden modern ‘Royal Enfield’ logo on both sides.
Downtown Drag
The last of the dual-tone options is inspired by the old Deadpool-lookalike Ravishing Red scheme. The asymmetric split looks quite nice with the light turquoise green stripe making it look oh-so-gorgeous!
Mark Two
There’s a new chrome option, and if you delved into the Interceptor’s history, you would know why it is called ‘Mark Two’. The OG Interceptor 750 from the 1970s donned a similar chrome-with-red-centre look. That said, maintaining the chrome tank finish is going to be a challenge, and you should consider a ceramic coating for this shade.
Our Pick: Downtown Drag
It was almost a unanimous decision at the office. It’s dark and light, and the classy green accent makes it look even better. Do you also think the Downtown Drag is the best colour option for the 2021 Interceptor 650? Or you prefer something else? Do let us know on our social media handles.
