2021 Suzuki GSXR-750 100th Anniversary Edition Launched

Modified On Sep 21, 2020 04:55 PM By Gaurav Sadanand for Suzuki GSX-S1000

It pays homage to Suzuki Grand Prix race bikes from the 60s

The blue and slate silver paint scheme was first seen on Team Suzuki Ecstar MotoGP motorcycles. The GSXR-750 is powered by a 750cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder motor. Gets different power maps, a slipper clutch and fully adjustable suspension.

Suzuki celebrated its 60th year of racing in 2020 and immortalized the milestone with a unique retro-inspired livery for its MotoGP team. Looking at the overwhelming response from enthusiasts, Suzuki then shifted its focus to its road bikes. It introduced its flagship motorcycle, the GSX-R1000R, in the same blue and slate silver paint scheme a couple of months ago. And now it's time to take the GSX-R750 to the beauty parlour. The 2021 GSX-R750 100th Anniversary Edition celebrates the brand’s achievements on the racetrack and pays homage to Suzuki’s early Grand Prix motorcycles from the 1960s.

Unfortunately, apart from the new colour scheme, the bike remains unchanged in terms of mechanicals. It’s powered by a 750cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder motor with selectable power maps. The motor uses a 6-speed transmission along with a slip & assist clutch.

Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable Showa big piston forks and a fully adjustable monoshock. Anchoring the bike are twin Brembo monoblock 4-piston calipers mated to 310mm discs and single 220mm disc at the rear. The entire package is held together by an aluminum twin-spar frame. It’s 17-inch wheels come wrapped in Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Hypersport tyres.

The 2021 Suzuki GSX-R750 100th Anniversary Edition costs $12,699, which is approximately Rs 9.33 lakh (ex-showroom). Don’t get your hopes high though, as Suzuki won’t be offering the GSX-R750 in India.
