2022 Suzuki GSX-S125 and GSX-R125 Unveiled In Europe
Except for being BS6-compliant, there has been no other big change to the baby GSX twins with this update
Suzuki Motorcycles has pulled the wraps off the 2022 GSX-S125 and the 2022 GSX-R125, the smallest bikes from the GSX lineup. The two are now Euro5-compliant and feature minor cosmetic upgrades.
The most evident update comes in the form of the new headlight. The 2022 Suzuki GSX-R125 gets slight changes to the fairing, mainly the belly pan. This alteration has been possibly done to accommodate the new parts to make the motorcycles Euro5-compliant.
Interestingly, there’s no change in the performance of these bikes. The Suzuki GSX 125 twins continue making 15PS and 11.5Nm from the 124.4cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The peak power is the maximum permissible performance for this class.
Suzuki hasn’t introduced new colours for the GSX-S125 and the GSX-R125, either. The faired bike continues with the Metallic Triton Blue, and Titan Black colours. But for the naked sibling, Suzuki has added new liveries to the existing Metallic Triton Blue / Titan Black, Titan Black and Pearl Brilliant White / Titan Black colours.
The bikes continue with the same chassis suspended on a telescopic fork and monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of by disc brakes at both ends, backed by dual-channel ABS.
The 2022 Suzuki GSX-S125 and GSX-R125 will hit the streets in Germany in the first half of 2022. They are priced at EUR 4300 (Rs 3.67 lakh) and EUR 4650 (Rs 3.97 lakh), respectively. Everything said, these bikes are unlikely to come to India, and we'll have to make do with the newly launched 2021 KTM RC 125 and KTM 125 Duke.
