2022 Suzuki Saluto 125 Launched In Taiwan
The Taiwanese cousin of the Suzuki Access 125 gets a bunch of modern-day features
Suzuki has introduced the latest iteration of the Saluto 125 in Taiwan. The scooter is now available in two new colours (Luca Green and Genoa Red) and a new 124cc Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) engine developed in Japan. This single-cylinder air-cooled motor puts out 8.8PS and 9.6Nm.
Now, to the design. The Saluto 125 sports a conventional (read traditional) look complemented by retro-style elements such as circular mirrors and a rectangular LED taillight. These aside, you get a LED headlight with DRLs, LED position lamps, a single-piece seat, and anti-skid strips on the footboard.
The scooter features keyless ignition and unlocking, a 5V/2A USB charging port, a hazard lamp, a multi-function switch to open the boot and fuel lid, and a semi-digital instrument cluster that displays time, mileage, fuel level, and speed while adjusting the brightness as per the ambient light.
The Suzuki Saluto 125 range is priced between Rs 2.14 and 2.24 lakh in Taiwan, making it almost prohibitively expensive for India. If you are looking to buy a family scooter, the TVS Jupiter 125 and the Suzuki Access 125 are a few options that you can consider.
