2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V: Which Colour To Pick?

Here are some details about the updated RTR 160 4V’s colour options

Just a few days back, TVS took everyone by surprise by updating the RTR 160 4V for the second time this year. With this update, in typical TVS fashion, the bikemaker threw in a few new bits including riding modes and a new colour option. Here, we’re focusing on the latter and explaining to you the colour options of the 2022 RTR 160 4V.

Racing Red

Red makes everything look faster and it’s the same case with the RTR 160 4V. Like always, TVS has used barely any graphics, but you do get a white panel in the center of the fuel tank and chequered flag stickers on the tank shrouds. Our only gripe here is the grey side panel, which looks rather conventional in an overall sporty package.

Metallic Blue

This colour is similar to the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V’s blue colour. Here, however, it is glossy instead of matte. Nevertheless, it looks quite premium and stands out, as we don’t usually see such colours on 160cc bikes. Here, too, you get a bold white panel on the tank and similar stickers to the red colour. 

Knight Black

Don’t want anything tacky or sporty? Well, this is the colour for you. The knight black colour is the most conventional colour option you can opt for the RTR 160 4V. It gets glossy black bodywork, lending the bike a no-nonsense appeal. 

Again, though, the grey side panel slightly spoils the vibe for us. 

Special Edition

For 2022, TVS has introduced a top-of-the-line special edition of the RTR 160 4V. And it comes in a special matte black livery. The dominating colour may be matte black, but the swagger comes from the red tank panel and alloys, adding to the bike’s sporty demeanour. Even the seat cover gets red inserts with an embroidered ‘TVS’ logo. Finally, it gets black side panels instead of grey ones.

Aesthetics aside, this special edition also packs adjustable clutch and brake levers, and smartphone connectivity, similar to the top-shelf, rear disc-equipped variant. For more details, check out our variants explained story.

Our Pick

Between the four, we’d take home the Special Edition Apache RTR 160 4V. After all, it looks the most premium and sporty, while costing just Rs 1,300 more than the rear disc/Bluetooth-equipped variant of the bike.
