2023 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Is Now Greener In More Ways Than One
Baby Ninja now gets a BS6.2 compliant motor, new colours and a slight price hike
Kawasaki likes it green! A typical Kawasaki update is a slightly revised paint scheme with a minor change in price. However, in this update, the most accessible supersport in its Indian lineup, the Ninja 300, has been updated to meet OBD2 (BS6.2) compliance AND a slightly revised paint scheme and a minor price hike, yay!
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 now costs Rs 3,43,000 (ex-showroom), which is Rs 3,000 more than the previous model. The Ninja 300 now meets BS6.2 emission standards and has a second generation onboard diagnostics system. Aside from that, the 296cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine remains intact, producing 39PS and 26.1Nm. The rest of the bike stays unchanged, including the telescopic fork and monoshock suspension configuration, as well as the disc brakes on both ends.
The new colours are Metallic Moondust Grey, Lime Green and Candy Lime Green. The new colour choices are smart and the Lime Green colour now closely resembles the bigger Ninja 400 and the Ninja ZX-10R.
Honestly, a substantial update to the baby Ninja would have been greatly appreciated, as it has been long overdue. Stuff like LED headlights and a TFT panel would have been nice additions, the current model feels a bit outdated. It competes with the KTM RC 390, BMW G 310 RR, Keeway K300 R, and TVS Apache RR 310.
