The TVS Apache range has yet again secured the first position on this list. However, the sales of the Apache range have dropped marginally by 1.02 percent over last month and 3.16 percent over the last year. Still, what allows it to maintain its first position is its performance, features and the fact that the company has been proactively updating its lineup, at least the 160 4V range. By the way, the Apache range includes Apache RTR 160, Apache 160 4V, Apache 200 4V, and Apache RTR 180.

The second rank on the list has been secured by the Bajaj Pulsar range that comprises of the Pulsar 180, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 125, Pulsar NS200, Pulsar NS125, Pulsar NS160, Pulsar RS200, Pulsar N250, Pulsar F250, and the Pulsar 220F. While it’s evident that the Pulsar’s charm is still unfazed, the glaring difference between the Apache range and the Pulsar family is telling of the fact that the motorcycles under the former have not received regular updates  The Pulsar range has also witnessed a decline in sales by 38.6 percent and 4.54 percent over September 2021 and last year, respectively.

One of the most attractive looking sport bikes in the Indian market is the Yamaha R15. Now, in its latest avatar, the Yamaha R15 V4 the motorcycle has not only secured the third rank on this list but has also gathered 62.98 percent more sales than last month. Even though, the year-on-year sales figure of the bike has declined by 13.17 percent, the R15 remains one of the highest selling motorcycles from the Japanese bikemaker.

The next on the list is the Suzuki Gixxer range which comprises the Gixxer and the Gixxer SF. While other motorcycles have witnessed a drop in their sales figures, the Suzuki Gixxer range has continued to grow. Moreover, the Gixxer range has sold 1,120 and 884 more units in September 2021 and last year, respectively.

The final on this list comes from the Hero family, the Xtreme range which includes the Xtreme 160R and the Xtreme 200S. While the monthly sales of the Xtreme range have pulled up by 12.9 percent, its year-on-year sales have declined by a massive 178.82 percent. The reason for the hike in its monthly sales could be the launch of the new Xtreme 160R Stealth Edition variant a few months ago.
