Ampere NXG Electric Scooter Spotted Testing
The e-scooter seems to be a premium offering with a large digital display and more
The Ampere NXG, a premium electric scooter offering from Ampere, has been spotted testing. The e-scooter was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2023 as a concept and now with the working prototype being tested, we believe the official launch isn’t far away.
Judging by the images, we get a better idea of what to expect from this upcoming scooter:
The NXG comes with an overall boxy design, with tucked-in footpegs offering a pretty premium look. The e-scooter has a large and spacious floorboard, making stowing luggage easier. The seat used is a long and wide one, which should ideally mean a larger underseat storage area. However, that depends on the placement of the battery pack, as it could be located either under the seat, or the floorboard. The chunky seat is complimented by a large single-piece pillion grabrail. The design as a whole seems to be tailored to meet commuting needs.
Features on offer include an LED headlight and taillight setup with LED turn indicators. The instrument console is a large digital display that occupies most of the handle cowl. We’re not sure at this time whether it’s an LCD or a TFT unit.

We’re not sure about the NXG’s chassis and underpinnings details yet, but it is clear that the suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. The Ampere NXG rolls on what appear to be 12-inch alloy wheels.
We expect the e-scooter to be launched by mid-2024, likely at a premium over the Ampere Primus, which is currently sold for Rs 1,46,355 (ex-showroom price, excluding FAME 2 and state subsidies).
