We had earlier brought you the exclusive news of MBP (Moto Bologna Passione) landing on Indian shores. What’s more, it’ll be coming in all guns blazing with the unveiling of the massive C1002V cruiser at the upcoming 2023 Auto Expo, as revealed by the teaser invite.
The C1002V sports a modern, muscle-cruiser design, similar to the now-discontinued Harley-Davidson V-Rod. Moreover, it gets LED illumination all around and a 5-inch TFT display that with smartphone connectivity, a remote immobiliser, and SOS function.
Speaking about its engine, as the name suggests it boasts a near 1000cc (997cc, to be exact) 80-degree liquid-cooled V-twin unit making a decent 95PS and 102Nm. It tips the scales at 262kg dry, which is par for the course. Once here, it may be priced at around Rs 12 lakh, and will go up against muscle-cruisers like the Harley-Davidson Nightster and the upcoming Indian Scout Bobber Sixty.
MBP is the sixth brand that Aadishwar has brought into India, after reintroducing Benelli, and also bringing in Keeway, Zontes, Moto Morini, and QJ Motor. The Sino-Italian brand will open its India innings with the M502N naked bike, which sports a 500cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine making 55PS.
