Bajaj Auto Passes GST Benefit For Its Motorcycle Range

Modified On Jun 15, 2017 02:03 PM By Chinmay Chaudhary for Bajaj Dominar 400 (2016-2018)

The company has offered post-GST reduced prices to customers with immediate effect from June 14, 2017. With this, it has become the first bike manufacturer in the country to extend the benefit before GST implementation

The taxes on the sale of motorcycles will be reduced in almost all the states in the country with the implementation of Goods and Service Tax (GST) from July 1, 2017. To offer the benefit of the new taxing scheme with immediate effect, Bajaj Auto is offering the post-GST reduced prices to customers from June 14, 2017 itself. At present, Bajaj is the only two-wheeler manufacturer to offer the post-GST price advantage 15 days before its nationwide implementation. The maximum savings on motorcycles at post-GST rates will be up to Rs 4500 depending on the bike model and the state in which the motorcycle has been purchased. The new uniform taxation will surely simplify the taxation structure and bring the prices down by a considerable amount.

Interested customers can now visit any authorised Bajaj dealership in the country to get an understanding of the saving scheme and avail the discounts for bookings between June 14 to June 30, 2017. The company has the Dominar 400, Pulsar RS200, Pulsar NS200, Pulsar 220, Pulsar 180, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 135LS, Avenger Street 220 & 150, Avenger Cruise 220, Bajaj V, CT 100, Discover 125 and Platina Comfortec on offer in the two wheeler bike market.

Mr. Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto, said, “As a responsible corporate Bajaj Auto is happy to pass on the price saving accruing out of GST to its customers. With the GST implementation just around the corner we felt that it would be appropriate to pass on this significant savings to customers. Bajaj Auto is proud to be the first and only motorcycle company in India, to offer post GST reduced prices to customers even before the implementation date. Customers no longer need to wait for 1st July to buy their desired Bajaj motorcycle.”
