Bajaj CNG Bike Launch Postponed

Modified On Jun 11, 2024 01:29 PM By Govind for Bajaj Freedom 125

The new launch date has also been revealed by Rakesh Sharma

Update: The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike has been launched in India at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom)

The upcoming Bajaj CNG bike’s launch date has been postponed to July 17, 2024 and this was revealed by Rakesh Sharma, executive director of Bajaj Auto revealed in a podcast. Earlier, during the launch of the Bajaj NS400Z, the band had revealed that they would be launching the bike on June 18, 2024.

In the podcast, he also shared a few details about the Bajaj CNG bike, such as its bi-fuel capabilities which would allow the bike to seamlessly transition between petrol and CNG. He also mentioned that the bike is likely to deliver performance that is close to what 100-150cc bikes offer.

He further stated that the earlier trademarked ‘Bruzer’ name is not what the bike is going to be called, as ‘Bruzer’ was just a development code name. This could likely mean that the CNG bike might be called ‘Fighter’ as Bajaj Auto had recently filed a trademark for this name.

The CNG bike has been spied multiple times in the past, and judging by the images we have a decent idea of what we can expect. The bike is expected to come with a sloper-like engine, which we think should produce power equivalent to that of a 100-110cc petrol-powered bike.

It will likely be offered in 2 variants, a rugged scrambler-style variant and a regular roadster-like one. The roadster is likely to be the more affordable variant and it features a more upright handlebar setup and a circular LED headlight unit and flyscreen above.

It will also feature taller mirrors. The rugged variant comes with knuckle guards and a brace handlebar setup. It also features a sportier-looking pillion grabrail setup as well.

The CNG bike is expected to be launched at a price of around Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). After it is launched, it won’t have any direct rivals, butwill instead go up against 100-110cc petrol bikes in the market such as the Honda Shine 100, Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon, and the Bajaj Platina 100.
