Bajaj CNG Bike Rugged Variant Spied Again Ahead Of June 18 Launch
This variant gets knuckle guards and fork covers among other changes
Update: The Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG Bike has been launched in India at Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom)
Bajaj Auto will be launching the upcoming Bajaj CNG bike on June 18, 2024. Ahead of its launch, the bike has been spotted testing again.
This time around, only the rugged version of the roadster has been spotted and it gets knuckle guards and a raised and braced handlebar. It also has an upswept exhaust and a long, flat single-piece seat. These details were also spotted when the bike was spied two weeks ago.
We already know that it gets a sloper-like engine and its capacity will be around 125cc. The CNG cylinder will be placed underneath the long, single-piece seat and an auxiliary petrol tank is expected to be present as well. One big advantage of a small-capacity CNG bike is that it will not only offer great mileage but more importantly, its running costs will be lower than petrol-powered bikes as the cost of CNG is lesser than petrol. CNG bikes act as a middle-ground between petrol-powered bikes and electric bikes as the latter is relatively more expensive and also offers limited range, especially with the current level of battery technology and charging infrastructure. The manufacturer recently trademarked the name ‘Bruzer’ and we think the bike could be called that.

The Bajaj CNG bike is expected to get a price tag of about Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom) and the rugged version seen in these spy shots is expected to get a premium of around Rs 8,000 over the regular roadster. It won’t have any direct rivals after its launch but will have competition from 100-110cc petrol-powered bikes like the Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Radeon, Honda Shine 100 and Bajaj Platina 110.
