Bajaj CNG Motorcycle Spied Again
With a boxy, front-heavy design, its engine capacity is likely to be between 110-125cc
Bajaj has been actively working on its upcoming CNG bike, and it has been spied yet again. This time we got a closer look at the CNG bike. It gets a boxy front-heavy design, and the rear section is sleeker. The upcoming Bajaj CNG bike will be powered by a 110cc-125cc sloper-like engine, which will keep the heat away from the tank. It could produce power output equivalent to a 100-125cc petrol engine, as CNG is less power-dense than petrol.
The test bike was equipped with a squarish LED headlight, and a slim taillight, both likely to be LED units. It featured a braced handlebar with handguards and the footpeg position is mid-set which would provide a relaxed and upright riding position. It has a spacious single-piece seat and a single-piece grabrail.
From the spy shots, we can see that the bike gets a telescopic fork and rear monoshock suspension setup. It has an upswept stubby exhaust. In terms of braking, it gets a disc brake at the front and a drum at the rear, but the lack of an ABS ring at the front suggests that it won’t even get single-channel ABS. Moreover, considering the absence of ABS, it is likely to be a 125cc bike because as per Indian safety norms, all two-wheelers above the 125cc capacity are supposed to get single-channel ABS compulsory. The CNG bike also gets leg guards near the engine, has a tyre hugger and rides on alloy wheels.
